The video interview is your chance to tell us more about you and help us decide whether you have what it takes to be successful at BDO.

Don’t worry if you haven’t done anything like this before. The system will take you through each stage of the process, and you’ll be able to answer a test question before you begin the interview itself.

The interview will be strengths-based. We’ll be looking for evidence of what you do well and enjoy doing, to make sure you are a good fit for BDO. This is your opportunity to decide whether BDO is also the right fit for you, so you should also reflect upon whether you want to work for us. This isn’t just about us finding the right candidates for our organisation, but about you finding the right employer for yourself.

Interview tips

  • the video interview lasts up to 30 minutes – so please ensure that you are somewhere quiet and won’t be interrupted during this time
  • be yourself! We want to get to know the real you. Relax and answer the questions as honestly and openly as you can
  • speak clearly and concisely, sharing as much information as you wish
  • read the question carefully. The candidates that perform the best are careful about responding to the question asked – rather than giving an answer they may have pre-prepared, but is not relevant to the question. And as with all interviews, you won’t be allowed to go back and change your responses
  • we recommend taking the video interview at a time of day when you are feeling at your best and most relaxed. This will be reviewed by a member of our team at a later stage
